Phrases & Frames Elegant Birthday Card with Hot Foil Details

The first card features a classic layered layout that’s one of my favorites because it lets the Designer Series Paper become the star of the card.

I paired the beautiful Floral Charm Designer Series Paper with the Botanical Glow Hot Foil Die using the light pink foil and the new Stampin’ Hot Foil Machine. The subtle foiled botanical background adds just the right amount of elegance without overpowering the focal Designer Series Paper.

A simple sentiment, Blackberry Bushel matting, ribbon, and a few embellishments finish the design beautifully.

This layout works wonderfully with almost any floral Designer Series Paper and can easily be adapted for birthdays, thank you cards, anniversaries, or even sympathy cards simply by changing the greeting.

Use Your Designer Series Paper Scraps

Don’t throw away those leftover paper pieces!

This layout is one of my favorite ways to use coordinating Designer Series Paper scraps. By combining three different patterns from the same collection, you create interest while still keeping the card balanced and cohesive.

The background is embossed with the Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder, adding wonderful texture without competing with the paper patterns.

An oval sentiment from the Phrases & Frames bundle layered over the center brings everything together, while ribbon and embellishments provide the perfect finishing touches.

This is an excellent layout to keep in mind whenever you have smaller leftover pieces of Designer Series Paper that are simply too pretty to throw away.

Timid Tiger & Blackberry Bliss Birthday Card – A Fresh Color Combination You’ll Want to Try

Sometimes all it takes is an unexpected color combination to completely change the look of a card.

For this birthday card, I used one of my favorite tried-and-true layouts featuring the Floral Charm Designer Series Paper, but paired it with the surprising combination of Timid Tiger and Blackberry Bliss.

The Timid Tiger embossed background creates warmth and energy with the Stone & Vine 3D Embossing Folder, while the Blackberry Bliss mat and ribbon add rich contrast that helps the floral paper stand out beautifully.

This layout is incredibly versatile and works with almost any Designer Series Paper collection. Simply change the colors, greeting, or embellishments to create a completely different look for any occasion.
