This is my card for the second week of the 3-week series of the “Julie & Friends” contest! This week we featured Fun Folds! I think there might be a fancier name for this card but all I know is “Squash Card”!
For this card, I used the Thankful Garden suite of products. They are part of the latest Online Exclusives dropped from Stampin’ Up! the first part of March. What’s extra special about this bundle is it has 5 masks as well as the stamps and dies.
I started with a Melon Mambo Card base. I added two strips of the Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper.
I stamped the flower in Memento Black, then “colored” the flower with masks and Blending Brushes.
The “magic” of this fun fold is an easy origami fold using a 6″ x 6″ piece of Designer Series Paper. Be sure to watch the video linked below to see exactly how to fold it.
